Vending: At Southern Markets we offer three types of vending services: traditional, subsidized and free vending. Equipment is placed and maintained at no charge to you regardless of the option you choose. Here are the differences between the three:
- Traditional – Products are sold at full market value.
- Subsidized – Employers pay a portion of the cost and product is vended at a discounted rate to employees. At the end of each month Southern Markets issues an invoice based on what sold.
- Free Vending – Employers pay the full portion of the cost and product is placed at no charge to employees. This type of service is often referred to as a “pantry” or “grab and go” service because employees are free to grab and go without paying just as they would in their own kitchen pantry. This type of service is growing in popularity as employers look for new benefits to show employee appreciation. At the end of each month Southern Markets issues an invoice based on what product was placed.
